Steps You Followed

  1. Checked the Current Status:
    • Verified the boot pool’s size and usage with zpool list boot-pool.
    • Confirmed the autoexpand property was off using zpool get autoexpand.
  2. Enabled Autoexpand:
    • Set autoexpand=on for the boot pool:bashCopyzpool set autoexpand=on boot-pool
  3. Offlined the Device:
    • Brought the boot pool device offline:bashCopyzpool offline boot-pool sdc3
  4. Onlined the Device with Expansion:
    • Brought the device back online with the -e (expand) option:bashCopyzpool online -e boot-pool sdc3
  5. Verified the Expansion:
    • Checked the new size of the boot pool with zpool list boot-pool.
